Our Facilities
New College Berkeley maintains a suite of administrative offices a few blocks west of the University of California campus in Berkeley. U.C. Berkeley is one of the finest and largest institutions of higher learning in the nation. NCB students are able to avail themselves of the many Berkeley libraries, bookstores, and theological centers.
In 1992, New College Berkeley affiliated with the Graduate Theological Union, also located in Berkeley. The GTU is a consortium of nine seminaries and ten affiliates, and is associated with the University of California at Berkeley. As an affiliate, NCB is able to use the GTU's meeting rooms.
In the 1980s, New College Berkeley became a member of the GTU Library, one of three top theological libraries in the United States. Our faculty have full access to the stacks and carrels of this architecturally acclaimed and intellectually rich library. This includes accessing materials through the GTU’s interlibrary loan agreements with its member seminaries and the libraries of the University of California at Berkeley.
In addition to its Berkeley presence, New College Berkeley has a cooperative relationship with nearly 100 churches throughout the Bay Area, many of which provide space for NCB courses and retreats. A number of local seminaries allow us to use their facilities for our programs as well.
