Dear Friends,
We invite you to celebrate our 30th
anniversary year with us. Please consider attending our special 2007
programs, including the weekend of March 16 and 17 as we gather as a
community with the Rev. Earl Palmer.
New College Berkeley
was founded in 1977 by a group of Bay Area lay Christians, pastors, and
scholars committed to providing high-caliber interdisciplinary studies
for the laity. We believe that all Christians, not only professional
clergy, have a ministry; that God’s people are called to faithful
service in the church, in the world, in the home, in the marketplace,
in the professions, and in the public square. Since its inception,
NCB’s mission has focused on serving the whole people of God with a
wide-ranging program of interdisciplinary and integrative courses,
conferences, seminars, lectures, and retreats, on evenings and weekends.
Throughout its history,
New College Berkeley has encouraged Christian believers to "walk in
newness of life," drawing understanding, companionship, guidance, and
strength from God—along with a community of Christians from various
churches and walks of life.
We celebrate an amazing 30 years of this flourishing ministry!
Sincerely, in Christ,
Susan S. Phillips, Ph.D.
