Dear Friends,

We are delighted to be entering a new year with such a substantial menu of offerings. From the January course with UC Berkeley’s Steve Fish, in which we will learn more about Christian-Muslim relations and possibilities, to the April program with Earl Palmer teaching on three pastoral epistles, and including the intensive Para-Professional Counseling II, which runs from January to May—the programs are hearty and nourishing.

A prayer retreat during Lent will help us to slow down and examine our lives. Our evening seminars will focus on two important issues: how we should view people of other faiths and how we should respond to the environmental crisis. In May we will also celebrate the publication of Candlelight: Illuminating the Art of Spiritual Direction.

Jesus is the Bread of Life, and we are to partake of the food of sanctification. As we mature, increasingly, we are able to digest and metabolize solid food. Some of it is challenging, inviting us into change and sacrifice. Some of it is edifying and ennobling. Join us for programs that will feed your soul and change your life.

Sincerely, in Christ,
