Group Spiritual Direction for Healthcare Workers

Led by Karen Lee Seth, spiritual director and retired healthcare leader

Caring for patients and their families has its own specific joys and stresses. This is an opportunity for spiritual direction in small groups committed to spiritual friendship, contemplative listening, and prayer for those specifically in the healthcare field.

A group of four directees will meet monthly for nine months in the Bay Area. Meetings will be held in person and/or online (TBD with group members).

“Group spiritual direction helps individuals grow in their faith, love others more fully, and participate in the mission of the church more effectively.” Alice Fryling, 2009

Experienced spiritual directors lead NCB groups and participate in supervision with Susan Phillips, PhD. While this group is specifically for healthcare workers, New College Berkeley continues to offer other general groups; information and registration for general group spiritual direction is available here. Please inquire about any of our spiritual direction groups at info@newcollegeberkeley.org.

Dates and Times:
September 2025 - May 2026, 2-hour meetings, day & time TBD with group members
